Welcome to the Midwest Radio Association, Inc. KØMSP

Thank you for visiting the website of the Midwest Radio Association, Inc., a non-profit corporation formed in 1979. We are an Amateur Radio group that is dedicated to public service within our community. Our organization also encourages and fosters mutual interest in technology and Amateur Radio Communications. We are an informal group and there are currently no regular meetings held.

The MRA operates, maintains, and pays site rental expenses for repeaters on the 2 meter and 70 centimeter Amateur Radio Bands which operate under the club call sign KØMSP. MRA repeaters are open and all appropriately licensed Amateur Radio Operators (Technician Class License or higher) are welcome to use them. Our 2 Meter multi-receive-site repeater offers wide area coverage for Minneapolis/Saint Paul and surrounding areas, while our UHF Repeater covers the northwest suburban areas. For more information, select "Repeaters" on the menu.

We encourage the use of our repeaters for public service and disaster related communications, including but not limited to drills, nets, coordination and public service events such as parades and marathons.

Members can usually be found monitoring the 145.370 MHz multi-receive-site repeater, CTCSS/PL 107.2 Hz (PL 1B) Come Join Us!

If you are not a licensed Amateur Radio Operator ("Ham") and are interested in learning more about the hobby and/or would like to earn your Amateur Radio License, we encourage you to visit the ARRL website. Here you will learn what Ham Radio is about, information you need for getting licensed and search the ARRL database to find an Amateur Radio License class in your area.
